We are currently working on a study project as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2017, for which this year’s theme is ‘Memory’.
The project addresses a neglected area on the tow path of the Grand Union Canal, in Westminster, east of Great Western Road. North facing, overshadowed by the Westway, and flanked by a 2.00m high brick wall topped with barbed wire, this is a hostile and unloved environment in an otherwise beautiful length of canalside landscape.
Sophie Nguyen Architects is inviting everyone interested in improving the canalside, to join us during the Easter Weekend on the tow path and tell us what you think would be a good way to enhance this space. Easter eggs will be served!
