Feasibility study for the museological use of the Visconti and Lefuel courtyards for the display of the Islamic Art collection.
Following this study, an international competition was launched in November 2004, won by Architects Rudy Ricciotti and Mario Bellini. The new department of the Islamic Art collection, 3500m2, opened in 2012.
